Creating A Bucket List!!

My name is Luh Ayu Purnayatri, those who know me from my childhood days call me Luh, and others call me Ayu. As you may probably see from my introduction, I'm a very boring person. I live an ordinary and monotonous life: I basically eat the same thing every day, I take the same route to office, I listen to same songs over and over again (my favorite singer is Taylor Swift!), I read same type of books, watch same type of movies. In short, I feel really comfortable with the same things going on in my life and it somehow kinda scares me to try new things.

Well, actually my life isn't that boring either. I mean, out of 365 days in a year, I spend some days having fun too. But maybe my kind of fun differs from most people.

The idea of creating a bucket list has crossed my mind several times, but I've always been too lazy (yeah, aside from boring, I'm super lazy too) to actually do that. But a few days ago I decided I needed to do write down the things I wanna do and make efforts to do them, and to be honest, I'm quite pumped about this idea. It excites me to list down as many items as I can find and tick them off as soon as possible.

So, basically my bucket list consists of several things:

1. Things I've always wanted to do, but too lazy, e.g. Visiting the National Museum (It's located like only 300 meters from my office and I actually walk pass it almost every day), Getting the National Library membership card (something I had wanted to do since the building was still under construction), Going to the rooftop of the National Monument (I really want to see Jakarta from up there), Taking a picture in front of Indosat Ooredoo office building (I really like the art installation there), etc.

2. Things I don't do, but most normal people do, e.g. Eating bananas (I hate bananas), Sing at karaoke (my voice sucks, so I don't normally sing using microphone), etc.

3. Things I really want to do although I'm not sure I can do them, e.g. Going to Bhutan (I fell in love seeing the pictures of Bhutan, and I really wanna go there, if only the cost weren't that expensive), Going to Japan (Japan is also an expensive country to visit), Writing a novel (I used to write a lot, but only short stories, let's see if I can actually write a novel), etc.

4. Basic general things, e.g. Getting married (hopefully soon, but Idk), Having kids (Please give me 3 kids, God!), Building/buying a house (in Jakarta if possible, but Bali would be fine too), etc.

5. Things to improve my social skills, e.g. Attending a public event (I mean an event in which I have to interact with others, not just sit and listen to some speakers), Talking to a stranger on the plane (I fly quite a lot, like once a month, but I never really talk to anyone except my friends), Taking selfies with someone I've just met (I'm even too scared to ask strangers to take pictures of me, let alone take selfies with them), etc.

6. Things to improve my creativity, e.g. Making a painting (It makes me chuckle remembering that when I was a kid I used to want to be a painter like my brother, because you know, I can't even draw a line well!), Making an acrostic (I've actually made some, but all in Indonesian, and now I want to make an English one), etc.

It'll take a lifetime to complete the list, and some items might be left unchecked, but it's okay. Having this list alone already makes me feel better about myself and I can't wait to begin the journey...
